Analysis of "Turtle Dome" steel framed Glass atrium canopy. Contractor wished to review steel members with the desire to reduce the size of steel members and welding requirements. We decided to utilize the perimeter member as a tension ring, thereby restraining the frame, causing the frame to act as an arch/dome rather than individual members acting as a beam.
